GAP is an absolute American clothing giant. On the local market, it is considered one of the largest retail chains selling clothes in the United States. Years ago, from 2011 to 2015, stores of this brand also operated in Poland. However, the Americans quickly disappeared from our country and conducted only online sales. However, they missed our market and will reopen a store in Poland.
GAP returns to Poland after ten years
Stationary sales are to start in a rather unusual location. GAP will open its first store after a break in Designer Outlet Warszawa – the service has learned dlahandlu.pl. Poland will thus join the countries of Central and Eastern Europe such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, where stationary GAP stores are available.
Designer Outlet Warszawa is located in Piaseczno on Puławska Street. The GAP store is to be located right next to the food court. It will occupy an area of 300 square meters. You will be able to buy a variety of clothes there: from elegant through everyday to denim. The official opening is on Saturday, October 7.
What is GAP? It's an American giant
The GAP company was founded in 1969. Initially, it only offered jeans. Over time, the company expanded and began selling other clothing – both for children and adults. The GAP group also includes clothing store chains under brands such as Old Navy, Banana Republic and Forth & Towne.
GAP had about 3,568 stores in about 40 countries at the end of the previous quarter. Sales in those stores rose 4 percent last quarter, compared to a year earlier. The company's total net sales were $3.7 billion. That's a 5 percent increase from a year ago.
