One was behind the wheel, the other “looked after” her two children, aged two and five. Both were drunk. They were stopped by the police because they entered Garbów (Lubelskie Voivodeship) on a section closed to traffic due to a cycling race. Officers smelled alcohol in the car. They also noticed that the children were traveling without car seats.
Everything happened on Sunday (April 30) afternoon, when police officers secured a cycling race in Garbów in the Lublin district and noticed an Audi car that appeared at the – temporarily closed – intersection of Krakowskie Przedmieście and Szkolna Street.
When the uniforms stopped the vehicle, it turned out that a 30-year-old resident of the Garbów commune was sitting behind the wheel, and because they smelled alcohol in the car, they checked the driver’s sobriety.
One is almost a per mille, the other one and a half per mille
“She had almost a per mille. But that’s not all, because there was also a drunk 25-year-old passenger in the car with two small children who were transported without car seats. The test result showed 1.5 per mille in the mother of the children” – writes Commissioner Anna Kamola from Komenda Provincial Police in Lublin.
Officers arrested the 30-year-old driver’s license. The 25-year-old’s children (aged two and five) were handed over to family members after medical consultation.
