A PLN 2,000 fine and 15 penalty points – this is how the police punished the driver of a Lexus who drove into a railway crossing while leaving the barriers, damaged the barriers and drove away. The police reminds that similar behaviors are “the main cause of accidents at crossings.”
The officers determined that the 77-year-old driver of the Lexus ignored the red signal and entered the crossing in Ruda Talubska while leaving the barriers. – He broke one barrier, then stopped at the other one, which fell on his hood, and then he drove away from the scene – said the deputy commander. Małgorzata Pychner, spokesman for the District Police Headquarters in Garwolin.

The police reminds that flashing red lights at railway crossings are not a warning, but an absolute prohibition to enter the crossing.
