It was Russia that finally turned off the tap for Poland

The narrative of PiS politicians could suggest that it was Poland that gave up the supply of raw materials from Russia. However, according to the analysis of the Finnish Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA), since the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, Poland has spent EUR 11.4 billion (over PLN 53 billion) on imports from Russia. EUR 8.4 billion, i.e. almost PLN 40 billion, was allocated for the import of crude oil alone.

Daniel Obajtek talked about “breaking out from under the Russian boot”, but the end of deliveries to Poland was not on our side, but on the Russian side.
