A camera operator, an employee of the Turkish Anatolia news agency, was killed as a result of Israeli shelling in the Gaza Strip, it was reported on Saturday.
Said Abu Nebhan was killed on January 10 in an Israeli attack using long-range weapons, Anatolia reported. The 25-year-old worked for her as a freelancer.
According to the agency, the incident took place in a refugee camp in the central part of the Gaza Strip, where many journalists were present. The site has been the target of Israeli attacks before

Deadly dangerous job
At the end of December, a report by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was published, according to which at least 68 journalists died last year while performing their duties.
Over 60 percent these cases have been reported in countries where wars are ongoing. This is the highest percentage in over a decade. The most people, i.e. 18 journalists, died in 2024 in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
