Two trams collided in Gdańsk (Pomeranian Voivodeship). Several people were injured, officials said. The organization of traffic has been changed, and replacement bus transport has also been introduced.

Two trams collided at the “Cebertowicza” stop in Gdańsk Chełm. “We were informed about the incident in Gdańsk Chełm on Monday around 4:50 pm” – told PAP the duty officer of the Headquarters of the Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, Capt. Grzegorz Benkiewicz.

He explained that they were injured in the accident. “Preliminarily, six or seven people are complaining of ailments, but there are no seriously injured people” – he added.

Firefighters, policemen and paramedics work at the “Cebertowicza” stop. There are difficulties on ul. Wincenty Witos.

Changed traffic organization

The Public Transport Authority in Gdańsk announced that due to the collision at the “Cebertowicza” stop, trams of the lines: 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 11 going towards Lawendowe Wzgórza and Łostowice Świętokrzyska arrive at the Chełm Witosa terminus and return. Trams of the lines: 2, 4 and 11 going from Lawendowe Wzgórza go to the Łostowice Świętokrzyska terminus. On the other hand, trams of the lines: 3, 6 and 7 going from the Łostowice Świętokrzyska terminus go to the Lawendowe Wzgórze stop.

In addition, there is a replacement bus service between the Łostowice Świętokrzyska and Chełm Witosa stops.
