In Gdańsk (Pomeranian Voivodeship), an intoxicated Ukrainian citizen threatened a passer-by with an object resembling a weapon. Police found an unloaded air pistol on the man. The 33-year-old was charged with making criminal threats. He faces up to three years in prison.
Magdalena Ciska, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, informed that on Sunday (April 23) police officers received a report that an unknown man walking down Cystersów Street threatened a passerby with an object resembling a weapon.
“The policemen arrived within a few minutes and while searching the area near Opata Jacek Rybiński Street, they noticed a man whose appearance matched the description of the perpetrator” – said the policewoman.

She explained that a 33-year-old citizen was detained Ukrainewhere an air pistol was found. “After checking it, it turned out that it was not charged, and no permit is required for its possession” – she added.

The arrested man was drunk. He had almost 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system. “After sobering up, the suspect was charged with making criminal threats” – she said.
He faces up to 3 years in prison.
