The 48-year-old lost his fingers while cutting wood for the winter. His son was taking the man to the hospital and asked the police for urgent help. He was escorted under the care of doctors.
On Wednesday at 12.30 at ul. Elbląska in Gdańsk, a driver driving a Volkswagen asked police officers for urgent help in getting to the hospital. The man was transporting his father, who had an accident while preparing fuel for the upcoming winter. He lost three toes as a result of the incident. According to the police, despite the wound being bandaged, he was bleeding profusely and suffering from severe pain.
Police: time was of the essence
– The district officers knew that rush hour traffic would significantly delay the journey, so they turned on the signals and moved towards the hospital. The police and men arrived at the emergency department quickly, efficiently, but also with precautions. Doctors then treated the 48-year-old man – said the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk.
According to him, before deciding on a pilot project, police officers always assess the case individually, but in this type of interventions, time is most often the main factor.
