A 27-year-old driver on Grunwaldzka Avenue in Gdańsk hit a cyclist and a pedestrian, then crashed into a building. The injured were taken to hospital. It turned out that the woman had over half a per mille of alcohol in her system.

The accident occurred just after 11 a.m. on Grunwaldzka Avenue in Gdańsk. – A woman driving a BMW lost control of the car and went off the road, hitting a cyclist and a pedestrian, and then hit a building – said the press officer of the Gdańsk police, Senior Sergeant Mariusz Chrzanowski, adding that the 27-year-old had over half a per mille of alcohol in her system. – The woman was detained. As a result of the incident, two people were taken to hospital – added Chrzanowski.

The 20-year-old and the 70-year-old have limb injuries, their lives are not in danger.

Driving under the influence of alcohol is punishable by up to three years in prison, loss of driving license, a large fine and a court ban on driving.
