I am appealing to you: we must finally put things in order, the generation will not forgive us if we do not, because they will ruin the country, ruin in every area and will continue to do so, said Lech Wałęsa on Saturday during the celebration of the Freedom and Civil Rights Day in Gdansk.

– A couple of people lurked, waiting for us to get tired. They seized power on the basis of lies and slander. We slightly underestimated this, we allowed populists, demagogues and provocateurs to take power. (…) I don’t think you need to be convinced what this team is capable of. The destruction of Poland began with Lech Wałęsabecause they knew me, they knew that I would not allow Poland to be destroyed. They arranged the facts that I was an agent,” he began.

They knew I wouldn’t forgive. Sooner or later, I’ll make the accounts. That time has come. The danger we face is directly proportional to the length of their tenure. My authority was taken away, I tried to remove these people before, but they destroyed me so much that I was unable to get you to support my concept – he added.

– They have come up with solutions for today and tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow (is – ed.) even more dangerous. They are responsible for the Smolensk tragedy. They are responsible for the whole world arguing with us,” he added.

– Therefore, I appeal to you: we must finally put things in order, a generation will not forgive us if we do not do it, because they will ruin the country, ruin in every area and will continue to do so. Because these are the kind of people. (…) Let’s get to work, because our homeland is calling us – appealed Wałęsa.
