The inscriptions on the Gdańsk synagogue at 7 Partyzantow Street were revealed on Sunday morning. On the facade of the building someone painted a swastika and three letters K, probably referring to the racist Ku Klux Klan.
The inscriptions have already been painted over by representatives of the Jewish Religious Community in Gdańsk, and the matter has been reported to the police.
The police received the call at 10:30. An investigative team with a forensics technician was at the scene. Traces and recordings from surveillance cameras have been secured – says junior asp. Marek Kobiałko from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gdańsk.
The case is treated as a priority. “We want to apprehend the perpetrators as soon as possible,” he said.
