The World Scout Jamboree in 2027 will take place in Gdańsk, the city’s president, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, announced on social media. “50,000 scouts will come to Gdańsk to take part in this largest educational event” – said the Polish Scouting Association, co-host of the event. President Andrzej Duda congratulated the organizers.
The World Scout Jamboree is the most important event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, dedicated to young people aged 14 to 17 who are members of National Scout Organizations. World Jamboree is a two-week attractive educational program involving young people from over 160 countries. It has been held every four years since 1920 in a different place in the world.

The 26th World Scout Jamboree in 2027 will take place in Gdańsk – the co-hosts of the event announced on Saturday – the president of Gdańsk Aleksandra Dulkiewicz and the Polish Scouting Association. The rally will be held on the Gdańsk Sobieszewo Island. “50,000 scouts will come to Gdańsk to take part in this largest educational event,” ZHP wrote on Twitter.
“The possibility of organizing such an important event for all scouts in Poland for the first time in Poland is a huge success and an excellent promotion of our homeland, in which the idea of scouting has been constantly developing for over a hundred years” – wrote President Andrzej Duda in a congratulatory letter to the head of the Polish Scouting Association, Grzegorz Woźniak.
“I am very glad that thousands of scouts from all over the world will come to Gdańsk – the city where the freedom movement of Solidarity was born. And that here, on the Sobieszewo Island, in an atmosphere of joy, understanding and cooperation, representatives of the great faithful community will unite ideas of Robert Baden-Powell. Today Poland is waiting for all participants of the World Jamboree “- he said.
As he added, “he believes that this time spent together will strengthen fraternal ties, bring new friendships and, in line with the slogan of the scout rally, will strengthen the participants in the conviction that one should always be brave and look boldly into the future”.
