Catholics associated with the Foundation of the Fr. Piotr Skarga demand the cancellation of the metal music festival, which is to take place during Corpus Christi. In their opinion, Mystic Festival promotes blasphemous and anti-church content. They launched a petition which has so far been signed by about 4,000 people. The organizers do not want to hear about the cancellation of the event.
“Catholic Poland, not secular” is a group of Catholics from the Foundation of the Fr. Piotr Skarga, which promotes Christian content on a daily basis. This time they decided to protest against the Mystic Festival, which is to take place in the Gdańsk Shipyard on June 7-10.
The organization has launched a petition in this regard. “Satan has no rights! NO to the blasphemous terror of Mystic Festival!” – they write and demand the cancellation of the event.
Lucifer and sexual deviations
“What is most outrageous, it is on Corpus Christi (June 8) that the satanic ‘Behemoth’, glorifying the abomination and sacrilege of ‘Ghost’ and the band ‘Hostia’ mocking the consecration, are to play,” the petition reads.
The authors of the magazine continue to write: “While millions of Catholics in Poland will worship the Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament at Eucharistic processions, in the Gdańsk Shipyard they intend to blaspheme God, glorify Lucifer’s rebellion, sadism, suicide and sexual deviations.”
The presence of the Polish team is especially annoying for Catholics. All because of the leader of Behemoth, Adam “Nergal” Darski, who has already offended them several times with his gestures. During a concert at the Ucho club in Gdynia on September 13, 2007, he destroyed the Bible, and in 2019 he first published a video in which he used a dildo with the image of the crucified Jesus as a prop, and then a photo in which he stepped on the image of the Virgin Mary.
More than 4,000 people have signed the petition so far.
“Such festivals are held all over the world”
The organizers of the Mystic Festival, i.e. the B90 club, Knock Out Productions and Mystic Production, do not intend to cancel the event. – Those who do this have no idea about the festival or about metal music. Such festivals are held all over the world, attracting tens of thousands of people a day. Mystic Festival will also take place. Contrary to what this organization thinks, this is not a festival that causes scandal – Arkadiusz Hronowski, the owner of B90, commented on Gazeta Wyborcza.
– Poland is not completely taken over by the Catholic religion and I see no reason for the entire society to submit to a church holiday. For now, we live in a free country and everyone can do what they want – he added.
