The search for a scuba diver who went missing while diving near the Torpedo Room in Babie Doły in Gdynia is underway. According to firefighters, one of the divers did not make it to shore. Workers on site include firefighters, the Maritime Search and Rescue Service and the Volunteer Water Rescue Service.

Rescue services are looking for a diver who went missing while diving near the Torpedo Room in Babie Doły in Gdynia. As the duty officer of the voivodeship command post of the State Fire Service in Gdańsk told PAP, the incident report was received around 10.30.

Fire department: two divers participated in the dive, one did not come ashore

– The notification showed that there was a dive in the vicinity of the Torpedo House in Gdynia Babie Doły, in which two divers took part. One of them did not go ashore on the way back – said the duty officer of the State Fire Service in Gdańsk. He informed that the nearest units of the State Fire Service from Gdynia and the Specialist Water and Diving Rescue Group of the State Fire Service had been sent to the site, and at the same time SAR (Marine Search and Rescue Service) and WOPR were notified. The activities are still ongoing.
