In Gdynia (Pomeranian Voivodeship), someone left three German Shepherd dogs in a hot car. The dogs were freed in time by the police who broke the window of the vehicle. The animals were so thirsty that they immediately ran to the waterhole. The pet owner must now face the consequences.

On Sunday (July 9), around 2:30 p.m., the police received a report about three German shepherd dogs left in a hot car.

“The car was parked in the middle of the parking lot, where the sun’s rays came from all sides. The Fiat was closed and the side windows were lowered about 10 cm. The uniforms determined the company to which the car is registered, but despite many attempts, it was impossible to contact its representative “- said the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk in a press release.

The car sat in the parking lot for about two hours. An employee of the animal shelter, who had been summoned earlier, appeared on the spot, who assessed that one of the dogs was starving. Leaving them further in a hot car could even result in death. The police decided to break the window and remove the animals.

“After getting out of the Fiat, the animals even threw themselves into the water, which only proves how thirsty they were. The dogs were transported to a shelter for homeless animals. At that time, the officers found an invoice issued to the owner of the Fiat in the vehicle, but no one answered the phone. The owner was summoned to the Police Station in Gdynia-Redłów, to which he came around 6:20 p.m. and gave evidence in this matter, “said the Gdańsk police.
