The 26-year-old wanted man was arrested while paddling with a friend on a SUP. Both men were under the influence of alcohol and were not wearing life jackets. They were issued tickets.
While patrolling the waters of the Bay of Gdańsk on Monday at 2:30 p.m., near the municipal bathing area in Gdynia, police watermen intervened against people who were swimming on SUPs without life jackets.

They checked the identity of two citizens Ukraine aged 26 and 25, also checked their sobriety. A breathalyzer test showed that both were under the influence of alcohol.
He will spend 150 days in prison
– In addition, after checking the men in the police system, it turned out that the 26-year-old is wanted by the District Court in Gdynia for fraud. The man has to serve a sentence of 150 days of imprisonment – informed the spokeswoman of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, Karina Kamińska.
Both men were issued with fines for not wearing life jackets, while the 26-year-old was arrested. He will soon be transferred to prison, where he will serve his sentence.
