I would ask the question if anyone in Russia knows where they are and how many are marching, going to Moscow for some meeting, briefing or setting new tasks, how many of them are in Belarus and what they are supposed to do, and where is the leader of this group and in what is possible – said in “Fakty po Faktach” general doctor Jarosław Kraszewski, former head of the Department of Supervision over the Armed Forces in the National Security Bureau, commenting on the reports on the Wagner Group fighters.

Retired Russian general Andrei Kartapolov stated on Monday that members of the Wagner Group are at Belarus to invade Polish territory.

I would ask if anyone in Russia he knows where they are and how many are marching, he is going to Moscow for some meeting, briefing or setting new tasks, how many of them are in Belarus and what they are supposed to do, and where is the leader of this group and what is his condition – commented general doctor Jarosław Kraszewski, former head of the Department of Supervision over the Armed Forces in the National Security Bureau.

– If their mission is to support the training processes and the processes of harmonizing Belarusian troops, this task may be dangerous because they can pass on much of the knowledge they have learned from the Ukrainian front to Belarusians. They can also pass on a lot of knowledge to the troops of the Russian Federation, which are currently deployed, practicing, preparing for action – he said.

“It could be dangerous for what is happening on the Ukrainian front,” he added.

From the perspective of Polish security, as the general assessed, “there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of”, “the Suwałki gate (the border area between Poland and Lithuania – ed.) is very well protected”, “the level of protection of allied troops is increasing”. – We can sleep really well – he said.

Kraszewski: Ukrainians have been demanding air support for a long time

July 7 White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan announced that USA will deliver DPICM artillery cluster munitions to Ukraine for the first time. The official confirmed that Ukraine had long sought these weapons, and in the face of declining stockpiles of ordinary artillery ammunition, cluster munitions would act as a “bridge” until production ramped up.

A week later, on July 13, General Oleksandr Tarnavsky, the commander of the Ukrainian grouping of Taurida troops, announced that the ammunition had reached the Ukrainian army.

– The Ukrainians have been demanding this air support for a long time – said General Kraszewski. According to him, minefields are a “real threat” for the Ukrainian side, because they stop the progress of Kiev’s offensive and lead to Russian counterattacks.

– Then, in order to stop these local counterattacks, primarily the use (by the Russians – ed.) of armored weapons, cluster munitions are used – said the former head of the Department of Supervision of the Armed Forces in the National Security Bureau. – A very wide section (of the front – ed.) can be blocked with one salvo. (…) Then it is easier for Ukrainians to finish their work – he added.
