It is about lingering travel restrictions for exhibitors, visitors and journalists as well as an ongoing global one semiconductor crisiswhich gives carmakers new priorities. Previously, two previous editions of the fair were canceled due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Reuters reported.
The president of the Geneva fair, Maurice Turrettini, said that despite all efforts, the organizers had to make such a decision. – The pandemic situation is not under control and poses a great threat to a large indoor event – he said.
However, Turrettini added that he was treating the decision as an adjournment. – I am convinced that the Geneva fair will come back in 2023 better than ever before – he emphasized.
