Massive protests in the capital Georgia started on Thursday night and were related to the decision of Prime Minister Irakli Kobachidze, who suspended talks about the country joining European Union.

According to the latest information from Tbilisi, a crowd of protesters in front of the parliament building clashed with police officers. The officers used water cannons to stop the actions of the demonstrators and push them towards the side streets.

Earlier, a correspondent of the Russian propaganda agency RIA Novosti reported that among the protesters Aggressive people appeared carrying pyrotechnic materials. Firecrackers and flares were thrown towards the windows of the parliament building.
