“It was impressive, how many people gathered and how peaceful this event was. It touched me very much, because the extreme right (AfD) and CDU led by Friedrich Merz really scare me,” said Nadine, who participated in the protest in Munich.

Merz emphasized that CDU is in favor of political decisions for the West, the European Union, Euro and NATO. “AFD basically questions all this and wants to find his salvation and peace, falling on his knees in front of Putin,” said the Christian Democrats leader. “This is not our policy. And only for these reasons there will be no form of cooperation, and even the participation of the government or tolerance in any form. We would betray our country. I would betray the soul of the CDU if I nodded with even a small finger to pursue such a policy in Germany” – he added Merz.
