The search for a lioness in Berlin and Brandenburg
In the morning, in an official statement, the authorities of Kleinmachnow near Berlin warned of a “dangerous wild animal” in the wild. Residents have been urged to stay at home and ensure the safety of pets and farm animals. The media reported that it was about a lioness.
The police were alerted by the citizens. “Two passers-by saw the animal following another,” a police spokesman said. One of the animals was a boar, and the other was a predatory cat, a lioness.
“Both men also recorded a video with a mobile phone and even seasoned police officers had to confirm that it was probably a lioness,” the spokesman added.
As noted by Reuters, in the hours following the notification, no dead boar was found in the area.
