German services detained an 18-year-old Russian citizen at the Berlin airport, who planned to carry out an assassination attempt to Israel's embassy in the German capital. Two other suspects are at large.
Federal police officers and the Brandenburg Criminal Office detained the Russian on Thursday at the Berlin airport when he tried to leave Germanyto join the Islamic State militias – the DPA agency learned from security bodies.
The German authorities assume that the attack also planned two other suspects. However, they left the Germans before the Brandenburg authorities began an investigation into the 18-year-old Russian.
