Four people died on Sunday on the A3 motorway in Germany. Three Porsche cars with Dutch license plates were involved in the tragic incident.
The tragedy occurred on the A3 motorway near Cologne in western Germany. According to the Dutch media, at some point the 42-year-old driver of a sports Porsche lost control of the steering wheel and his car landed in a ditch.
His 37-year-old wife was also in the vehicle. The driver of another Porsche stopped at the scene of the accident to help the injured, reported the RTL Nieuws portal.
A moment later, a 56-year-old Dutchman driving the third car of this brand also lost control of the wheel and hit the victims of the first accident and the driver of the second car trying to help them. Four people died. The passenger in the third car suffered only minor injuries.
The media reported that the Dutch probably traveled together. The NOS portal, citing sources in the German police, reported that the cause of the accident was probably excessive speed. The portal indicated that during the incident conditions were difficult due to heavy rainfall.
