A video from Magdeburg, Germany, appeared on social media showing the moment the police detained the probable attacker who drove into a crowd of people during a Christmas market. It shows a man lying on the sidewalk and surrounded by a group of policemen.
Just after 7 p.m. on Friday in Magdeburg, Germany, a driver drove his car into people at a Christmas market. According to the Bild daily, at least 11 people died. Emergency services quoted by the newspaper and the AFP news agency say that up to 60-80 people are injured. The authorities have not yet confirmed such a death toll. The operation of the services is ongoing. The center of Magdeburg is cordoned off.

Arrest of a probable attacker
A video appeared on social media showing the moment the police detained the probable attacker. They were also published by, among others, the American station CNN.
It shows a man lying on the sidewalk next to a black car and surrounded by a dozen or so policemen. You can also see the police instructing witnesses not to approach them. Several policemen are leaning over him and probably handcuffing him. The perpetrator was arrested immediately after the attack.
As the German media write, from the moment the perpetrator hit the first people, drove up to 400 meters through the fair.
