The plane could not land: Very strict observance of night curfew at the Berlin airport led to the fact that last Sunday (January 5) an airline plane Ryanairflying from Gran Canaria had to land not in Berlin, but in Hannover, 250 kilometers away.
Absurd regulations in Germany: “Core night”, or simply night silence, applies at many European airports. In practice, it means that you should not land at a given airport after a certain hour at night. For this reason, the plane was blocked from landing at the Berlin airport. The media describes that he missed 90 seconds. At 11:59 p.m. the plane was at an altitude of only 410 meters, so it was already in the final phase of landing. However, the Berlin airport did not consent to this.
Big delay: The plane's passengers had to fly to Hannover, from where they were transported by bus to Berlin. All because of those 90 seconds they lost 3 extra hoursand they were already delayed due to which the plane did not manage to land on time. He was scheduled to be at the Berlin airport at 22.50. It was about 1 hour and 20 minutes later. So, all in all, it's a journey coming back from Spain tourists extended by over 4 hours.
