The Christian Democrats CDU/CSU have more support than all the parties in the government coalition (SPD, Greens and FDP) combined, according to the latest poll by the Insa institute. According to the poll, the most popular German politician remains Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

The Christian Democratic Union CDU/CSU remains at 31.5 percent. This means that it has more support than all the parties in the government coalition combined (30 percent), the portal of the daily “Bild” noted.

“Bad news for the FDP party after the electoral defeat in Saxony and Thuringia”, where it failed to enter the state parliaments in Sunday's elections. In the new survey Insa liberals fell below five percent nationwide, reported “Bild”. This means the party would not enter the Bundestag.

In the latest survey FDP lost one percentage point, falling to 4.5 percent. The Greens also fell from the previous week to 10.5 percent (-1). SPD is the only one of the three parties forming the government coalition in Germanywhich maintained its result from the previous week (15 percent).

The far-right AfD (19 percent) and BSW (9.5 percent) gained half a percentage point each. The Left Party lost half a point and would not have entered the Bundestag with 2.5 percent.
