Germany. Trade unionists are preparing for a strike, dismissed flights from Poland

The Verdi trade union called employees of many German airports to conduct a full -day warning strike on Monday. Public sector and ground service employees will strike at Airports in Frankfurt am Main, Munich and Berlin, among others. Flights will be canceled to Poland – said LOT PLL spokesman.

During the current round of collective negotiations, strikes at the airports in Cologne, Duesseldorf, Hamburg and Munich were already held, where there were numerous flights – reminded the portal of the TAGESSCHAU information program.

The Monday strike applies to airports in Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne/Bonn, Duesseldorf, Dortmund, Hanover, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin-Brandenburg and Leipzig-Halle-said the DPA agency.

Passengers must be prepared for references and delays.

Requests for increases

Verdi demands, among others Wage increases by 8 %, but at least 350 euros more per month, as well as three additional days off.

Employers rejected their demands, considering them unattainable. Further negotiations will take place on March 14-16 in Potsdam.
