Ms Justice Burns mentioned that video recordings of Gardai interviewing Dowdall, performed after the Regency homicide, “make for very uncomfortable viewing”.

She mentioned that the way through which he advised the lies to gardai “is extraordinarily regarding for this courtroom”.

“A major query hangs over Jonathan Dowdall’s character,” she mentioned and that due to his “patterns of mendacity, the courtroom should method his truthfulness with scepticism and excessive care”.
