Rafa³ Gikiewicz he couldn't stand it after match Widzew z Puszcza and on Canal+ Sport decided to criticize not only referee Marcin Szczerbowicz, but also the authorities league and the Polish Football Association that they do not intervene at all in the matter of tickets and fans. He pointed out the problem a few hours before the match.
Gikiewicz couldn't stand it after the match. “This is sick”
“Ekstraklasa, will you refer to the regulations for purchasing tickets for today's match by Widzew fans? Does the slogan “football for fans” have anything to do with it?” Gikiewicz asked on Twitter before 11:00 a.m. on Monday. He could not go to the match against Puszcza. no one who had not been to a meeting of Niepołomice residents in the past could enter. This included not only those from Krakow and the surrounding area (Puszcza plays on stadium Cracovia – note ed.), but also fans of the visiting team.
“It's like a virus in football and someone has to take care of it, because the pathology will continue,” he added in response, when one of the Internet users recalled the situation of Wisła Kraków fans, who are regularly refused access to the sector for guests. The breakthrough here is to take place in December in the match against Polonia Warszawa.
After the match against Puszcza, Gikiewicz returned to the topic. He did not bite his tongue and appealed to the Polish football authorities to intervene to facilitate fans' access to tickets by changing the regulations, and to punish clubs that hinder access to the stadium accordingly.
– Monday evening, fans cannot enter – including my friends, because they have never been to a Puszcza match. Well, why? They wanted to come to my match. Someone comes up with a sick recipe. A fan who spends Monday evening in Krakow cannot buy a ticket because he has never been to a Puszcza match. This is a sick recipe, a virus of Polish football. The second example: Wisła fans who are not allowed in. You, as Canal+ or Ekstraklasa, should do something about it, because showing matches in an empty stadium with a hundred people is sick. Someone in the Polish Football Association should step up and be held accountable for such behavior. There are no such regulations anywhere in the world. I hope someone will take care of it, he said on Canal+ Sport.
Widzew's goalkeeper also pointed out referee Szczerbowicz's mistakes. He accused him of irrational management of playing time. He argued that he added too few minutes.
– I haven't played in a match where the opponent who was leading and played one more, retreated. the goalkeeper held the ball for 25 seconds and the referee added three minutes. We're talking about playing time, so let's actually add that much – the Łódź goalkeeper was outraged.
Widzew is ninth in the Ekstraklasa table with 22 points. Puszcza is in 16th place, with 14 points. At this moment, the Niepołomice team would be relegated.
