Widzew Łódź was unable to win an away league match for the fourth time in a row. Just two weeks ago, it drew 2-2 with GKS Katowice, and on Friday it drew with another newcomer – only 13th in the table Lechia Gdańsk. The score was 1-1 in Tricity, and it could have ended even worse for Widzew, because they were losing 0-1 until the break. Then, the club's goalkeeper, Rafał Gikiewicz, expressed his frustration in front of the Canal + Sport cameras.

However, he did not stop there and decided to take a hard look at the entire team. – A bit of bad luck, but you have control over it matchyou have to score goals and kill such matches. Because when we travel… I don't know what's going on – I would say bluntly – we lick each other's birds. And that's how it is. You have to take responsibility in the penalty area. What a sucker penalty. Once a red card away, once at home, now a penalty. We present goals to the opponent, and the opponent stands behind, waits for counterattacks, they counterattack and we lose by halftime, he summed up.
A few blunt words apparently had an effect on the teammates, because they were able to equalize in the second half. In the 74th minute, Imad Rondić was hit with an elbow in the penalty area by Olsson, and then he took a penalty himself and the score ended 1-1.
