Giżycko. “Seekers” tracked down two wanted on warrants. 48 and 28-year-old in custody

Police officers from Lodz announced the arrest of two men who had been wanted on an arrest warrant for about two years. – It was about two members of a criminal group that specialized in excise crimes – said Deputy Commissioner Adam Dembiński from the Łódź Voivodship Headquarters. The fugitives were caught in a rented house in the Giżycko poviat (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship).

The men are 48 and 28 years old, for about two years they have been wanted by officers from the department for combating the crime of hooligans at the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź. – The men disappeared like a stone into the water and did everything not to be found – says podkom. – This is how police jargon is used to refer to police officers of the Search and Identification Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź. They are experienced officers who use their many years of experience in tracking down criminals in hiding – says Dembiński.

Detained

The police determined that the wanted men were hiding in the Giżycko district and renting a house there. On July 5, at six in the morning, the men were arrested during a police operation.

– The fugitives were surprised, they did not resist. During the search of the premises occupied by the men, the police secured money in the amount of over PLN 67,000 for future penalties – says Adam Dembiński.

The detainees were taken into custody.
