A 34-year-old man died in an ambulance after being stabbed on the street at night in the center of Gliwice (Silesian Voivodeship). An 18-year-old man is suspected of murder. According to the findings of the investigation, the older man was allegedly harassing the woman with whom he was younger.
The Gliwice Wschód district prosecutor’s office is investigating a murder that occurred on the night from Friday to Saturday on Zwycięstwa Street. This is the center of Gliwice.
Because he was picking on his partner
– There was a fight in the street between the injured party, 34-year-old Dariusz G., and the suspect, 18-year-old Arkadiusz J. The reason for the argument was that the injured party was accosting the suspect’s partner – explains Joanna Smorczewska, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gliwice.
This motive was given to investigators by J. and also by the woman who accompanied him, who was interviewed as a witness. This also results – according to the prosecutor’s office – from monitoring records. The 18-year-old was drunk.
– During a scuffle between the men, the victim was stabbed with a knife, which resulted in a stab wound to the left side – adds Smorczewska.
18-year-old charged with murder
J., his partner and other witnesses helped the 34-year-old and called an ambulance. Unfortunately, the man died in the ambulance. The prosecutor’s office ordered an autopsy.
The 18-year-old was detained at the scene. He was charged with murder. The court arrested him for three months.
