A drunk 21-year-old broke the window of his grandfather's car and devastated the furnishings of his house. Additionally, he threatened the 65-year-old with death and then fled the scene.
On Monday, January 6, late in the evening, police officers in Głuszyca (Lower Silesia) received information that a 21-year-old had destroyed his grandfather's apartment and escaped.
“He damaged, among other things, a microwave, table, furniture, interior doors and balcony railings. He also broke the rear window of a passenger car belonging to a 65-year-old man. The losses were estimated at no less than PLN 5,000. Then a young man from Głogów, who additionally threatened his grandfather, he fled the scene,” said Marcin Świeży from the Wałbrzych police in a statement.
When the 21-year-old decided to return home, he was stopped by the police. It turned out that the man was drunk. An alcohol test showed that he had close to the permille of alcohol in his body.
The court will decide his fate
The perpetrator of destroying property and making criminal threats against another person spent the next hours in a police detention center.
On Wednesday, the man was charged and gave explanations. Now the court will decide the fate of the 21-year-old. For the crimes committed, he faces imprisonment of up to 5 years.
