The 39-year-old was wanted on a total of 15 arrest warrants. He has been permanently living outside the country for 10 years. However, a few days ago he came to Poland to visit a loved one. He was arrested and sent to prison for several years.

Police officers from the district headquarters in Gniezno were searching for a 39-year-old man for whom courts and prosecutor's offices had issued a total of 15 arrest warrants. The man was also wanted on the basis of five orders to determine his whereabouts, issued by courts and prosecutor's offices in Gniezno, Gdańsk, Szubin and Słupca.

Sentences and arrest

He was sentenced to temporary arrest and sentenced to several years' imprisonment for fraud, forgery of documents, misappropriation of property, short-term use of a vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and evasion of maintenance obligations.

– A month ago, police officers from the Department of Search and Identification of Persons of the Provincial Headquarters in Piznań, who supervise and support search activities, decided to look into the search for the man – says Iwona Liszczyńska from the Wielkopolska police in a press release. – They established that the 39-year-old has been living permanently in the Netherlands for 10 years, where he runs his own business. A year ago, in connection with committing a crime in Germany, a man was detained by the German police. Criminal investigators also determined that the 39-year-old was in contact with his relatives in the country. They were sure that his arrival to Poland was only a matter of time. They didn't have to wait long, he adds.

On April 16, in one of the towns in Szczciniec County, a man was detained by police officers from the Department of Search and Identification of Persons of the Police Headquarters in Poznań. He was surprised by the presence, but did not impede the activities. After his arrest, he was taken to the Prison in Czarne.
