In Gniezno (Greater Poland Voivodeship), the 42-year-old died after police intervention. According to the police, the man was to be aggressive, he fainted when trying to overpower him by policemen. The junior inspector Andrzej Borowiak, spokesman for the Greater Poland police, announced that there were no irregularities or errors in uniformed activities.

According to the police, on Thursday evening the services were called to a 42-year-old man, whose behavior indicated strong stimulation. As described by the portal gniezno24.com, during the intervention the man became aggressive, and during an attempt to overpower. Despite resuscitation, he died in the hospital.

On Sunday, a spokesman for the Greater Poland police insp. Andrzej Borowiak. He informed that the control department had collected information and conducted an analysis of the event. Representatives of the KGP Control Office were also on site.

Police about intervention

“Experts from the Control Department analyzed recordings of telephone conversations and monitoring recordings. They became acquainted with the testimonies of witnesses, including the immediate family, and medical rescuers. On this basis, it was not found that there were irregularities or errors in the activities of the policemen” – emphasized Borowiak.

He added that in connection with the need to transport the 42-year-old to the hospital due to the disturbed state of health and aggressive behavior, direct coercion measures were used, and their use “was graduated and adequate to the situation.”

“We are very touched by this situation. We approach the whole thing very seriously and with due diligence,” Borowiak pointed out.

He added that officers are waiting for the results of the work of a court expert team who will examine the cause of the 42-year-old death.

He died of SOR

A press officer of the KPP Gniezno asp. staff. Anna Osińska, indicated that intervening policemen first tried to overpower the man with their physical strength, overpowering grips were used, which proved to be ineffective and did not lead to calmness of the man due to the constant resistance and physical aggression on his part.

“Then, due to the progressive attacks of aggression from the 42 -year -old, pepper spray was used. After the man was overwhelmed and leading him out of the house, and then arranged on transport stretches, the man lost consciousness and vital functions,” said OsiÅ„ska. After resuscitation, the man was taken to SOR in Gniezno, where he died. The prosecutor's office was notified of the case.
