“After a thread to a ball”

The awarding of officers was attended by, among others Representative of the anti -pirac coalition and president of the SIGNAL SIGNAL Association. Teresa Wierzbowska. She pointed out that the awarded matters had a complex character. – It is a bit like officers start working, it's like a thread to a ball. It turns out that there is another location, that there are several perpetrators who work together, and that these crimes often lead to other types of violations. (…) This, moreover, confirms our data, which we have, which show that crime and at all pirate activities on the Internet very often involves a number of other violations and threats to users – she said.

She emphasized that the work of policemen in combating piracy consists not only in protecting content, but also digital media users. In her opinion, consumers who visit pirate websites in Poland are “much more than in other European countries” exposed to malware, data theft and extortion.
