Goleniów. They extorted the money by “Blik” method, they were detained

A stranger approached the man in the Goleniów shopping mall and asked for a BLIK transfer for his sick mother. He assured that in return he made a feedback, it turned out to be not true.

Martyna Kowalska, the older post, who was the press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Goleniów, said that when the victim realized that he had fallen victim to fraud, he informed his wife, who was still in the gallery.

– The woman noticed the man described by her husband and informed the police. The officers detained a 26 -year -old – she added.

The number of victims is growing

Policemen also detained a 26-year-old partner who cooperated with a man. The uniforms determined that the couple drove around the country, using a similar mechanism of action.

– The man aroused compassion, presented a false story about a sick mother, asked for a transfer, and then showed a false confirmation of the refund. The victims did not receive their funds back – the press officer explained. – The number of victims is still growing and the matter is of a developmental nature – she added.

The extorted amounts did not arouse suspicion and oscillated between 50 and 300 PLN. The matter is dealt with by the District Prosecutor's Office in Goleniów. The couple heard allegations of fraud, and by court decision they were temporarily arrested for three months.

They face up to eight years in prison.
