In one of the flats in Golub-Dobrzyń (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship), a man poured water over a burning oil in a pot. Effect? Severe burns to the chest and hand, and a broken door and window in the apartment.
The incident took place at Konopnicka Street in Golub-Dobrzyń. Firefighters received the call around noon on Saturday.
– The victim put a pot of oil on the electric stove and left the kitchen. Upon returning, the oil was burning in the pot. The man moved it to the sink and flooded it with water, resulting in an oil ejection and an increase in pressure in the kitchen, which was released through the door and balcony window, senior captain Dawid Tarkowski, press officer of the Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Golub-Dobrzyń told tvn24.pl .
