The tragic accident happened on the national road No. 79 in Góra Kalwaria. A quad driver died after a collision with a passenger car. Four people died on the roads of the Piaseczno poviat within 24 hours.
The incident took place on Saturday, before 4 p.m. on the national road No. 69 in Góra Kalwaria. According to the reporter of tvnwarszawa.pl Artur Węgrzynowicz, a quad and a passenger car collided. The police, fire brigade and ambulance service, including a LPR helicopter, were on the spot.
– Preliminary findings show that the quad driver did not yield the right-of-way while joining traffic on the 79 national road. A 54-year-old man was taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, he died there. The Audi driver was sober – informed Jarosław Sawicki from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piaseczno. – It is already the fourth fatal victim in a road accident during the day – added Sawicki.
A tragic day on the roads in the Piaseczno poviat
On Friday around 10.30 pm in Konstancin-Jeziorna, the passenger car ran off the road and hit a tree. One person was killed on the spot and two were injured. The driver left the scene, leaving the injured. He was detained after a few hours. At the time of his arrest, he had almost 2.5 per mille of alcohol.
A little earlier because around 10 p.m. there was an accident in Pilawa, where a 36-year-old was killed.
Another tragic accident happened on Saturday morning. As Sawicki said, around 4:10 the truck driver hit a pedestrian in Jabłonowo fatally.
