The 32-year-old driver had two parts of alcohol in his body. He ran against the current on the A4 motorway and – near the village of Gorliczyn (Podkarpacie) – collided with another driver who was driving correctly. It turned out that the 32-year-old not only was drunk but also had no driving license. One person was injured in the accident. The case is being investigated by the police.

The incident took place on the Subcarpathian section of the A4 motorway – near the village of Gorliczyn – on the night of Sunday to Monday.

According to the preliminary findings of the policemen, the 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen driving the Ford was driving against the current on the A4 motorway and collided with a passenger Renault that was correctly driving towards Yaroslavl.

– When checking the state of sobriety, it turned out that the driver of a Ford has two per mille of alcohol in his body and does not have the license to drive. His passenger was also intoxicated, the breathalyzer indicated more than 1.5 per mille in his body – informs the press office of the Podkarpackie police. The passenger Renault driver, a 23-year-old Ukrainian citizen, was injured in the accident. The police will explain the exact circumstances of the event.
