Two passenger cars collided in the vicinity of Głuszyca Górna (Lower Silesia). Initial police findings show that the 20-year-old Honda driver did not adjust the speed to the road conditions. He and his 20-year-old passenger were killed.
The tragic event took place on Sunday after 7 p.m. on the section of provincial road No. 381 between Głuszyca Górna and Nowa Ruda.
The 20-year-old driver and his passenger are dead
– The pre-determined cause of this incident is the mismatch between the speed of the 20-year-old driver and the road conditions. It was wet on Sunday, it was raining – says Marcin Świeży, spokesman for the Wałbrzych police. And he adds: – At one point, the Honda skidded, drove into the opposite lane and collided sideways with an oncoming Audi. Police officers interviewed witnesses who saw the incident from the perspective of another car.
Honda rolled over in a ditch. Two people traveling there – a 20-year-old driver and his 20-year-old passenger – died on the spot. The second car was a family of four: two children aged 12 and 14 and their parents. Everyone was taken to the hospital. According to the police, their lives are not in danger.
– We have had four fatal accidents in recent months. A total of five people were killed, four of which were young people. Usually the cause was excessive speed. We appeal: less bravado, gas leg and adapting to the regulations – emphasizes Świeży.
