In Gorzów Wielkopolski, a four-year-old boy died in an accident. The child was riding a bicycle along the sidewalk with his father when two cars collided right next to them. The impact was so strong that the Chevrolet bounced off the BMW and hit the boy. The driver ran away from the scene on foot and is wanted by the police.
Police officers from Gorzów determine the circumstances of the tragic accident, which took place on Sunday afternoon. The drama took place at the intersection of Armii Polska and 30 January. It was there that two cars collided: a Chevrolet and a BMW. As a result of the impact, the Chevrolet bounced off a BMW and hit a four-year-old boy who was riding bicycles with his father on the sidewalk. The child died as a result of the injuries.
They are looking for a driver
According to Marcin Maludy, a spokesman for the Lubuskie police, the Chevrolet driver left the scene on foot immediately after the accident. – By the decision of the city commander, an alarm was announced for all policemen. We need to get to this driver as soon as possible. Currently, policemen from all divisions of the Gorzów headquarters and riot police are looking for him. We do not rule out that he escaped because he might have driven the car under the influence of alcohol or drugs – Maludy said on Sunday.
He added that the family of the deceased child was taken care of by psychologists. – The medics did everything to save the child’s life. Unfortunately, it was not possible – added the spokesman.
Immediately after the incident, many policemen worked at the scene of the accident, who, under the supervision of the prosecutor, determine the exact course of the tragedy. The 26-year-old driver of the BMW was sober and probably – according to the police – the accident was not his fault.
