It’s easy to get in, harder to get out. A small, ginger cat got stuck in Gorzów Wielkopolski in a hard-to-reach room. His loud meowing was heard by passers-by. The police and the fire brigade were asked for help.
Police officers from Międzyrzecz (Lubuskie Voivodeship) were exceptionally on duty in Gorzów Wielkopolski. And it was there that they intervened in the case of a small cat, which was stuck in a hard-to-reach place for several days.
– After reaching the site of intervention, the policemen heard a loud meowing coming from under the ramp for wheelchairs. After a thorough inspection, the officers determined that the place where the trapped animal is located is a deep room covered with heavy steel elements that prevented it from getting to the cat – said Sgt. staff. Mateusz Maksimczyk, spokesman for the Miedzyrzecz Police.
It turned out that without the support of firefighters, it would not be possible to save the animal. – The policemen, together with the firefighters, took steps to precisely locate the place where the little ginger kitten was. It was a deep hatch and access to it was possible only with the help of a rope. Here, firefighters, who have not only the equipment, but also the appropriate experience have demonstrated their efficiency – adds Maksimczyk.
