The election campaign is ongoing and must be conducted in accordance with the law. However, there is an MP who still pays for the previous one. Officials from Gorzów Wielkopolski do not forgive Łukasz Mejza. They began taking money from his account for what they claim was illegally putting up posters four years ago. It is over PLN 50,000. Further penalties are announced by road builders from other regions of western Poland. They just tracked down banners with a photo of Łukasz Mejza, for which there was no consent. Material of the magazine “Polska i Świat”.
Anyone who has recently been to Krosno Odrzańskie has probably seen a photo of MP Mejza. – We will not agree to display illegal advertisements – said Marek Cebula, mayor of Krosno Odrzańskie.
The mayor talks about illegal posters on private and municipal properties. The latter had already been ordered to be removed. – Mr Lukasz Meza It’s not the first time he breaks the law and, as you can see, he has a big problem with it. Today, however, he is protected by immunity, and he commits the offense as an ordinary citizen, he said.

This is not only about illegal banners, but also about their content – we hear from Lubuskie opposition politicians.
– The fact that Mr. Mejza is a mythomaniac and says that he brings money for various investments, at which he did not lift a finger, is probably already known by most people in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. We have already noticed that Mr. Mejza has already started hanging these banners. He is running a pre-campaign, said MP Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic from the parliamentary club of the Left.

“We decided that it was illegal and therefore started the whole procedure”
Officials from Gorzów Wielkopolski do not let the deputy forget about the previous campaign. Four years ago, the city was flooded with posters with the image of Łukasz Mejza.
– We decided that it is illegal and therefore we started the whole procedure – said the spokesman of the City Hall in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Wiesław Ciepiela.

The city calculated a fine of over PLN 50,000. The MP’s attorney appealed against the decision. The case dragged on for months. She finally went to court. The city is waiting for a decision, but it is already taking money from Mejza’s account.
“Based on what the law says, we think we’re right. At the moment, we can say that the main payment with interest is PLN 26,000 – said Ciepiela. When asked whether half of the money had already been recovered, the spokesman for the City Hall replied that “this is the result of these calculations”.
The editors of the “Polska i Świat” magazine tried to contact the MP. Unsuccessfully. This is how he himself commented on the poster that hung in the center of Zielona Góra for several hours. – It was hanging for a couple of hours because it was hanging in the wrong location. And the right location is this one – the MP said in the recording, pointing to a banner hanging on another building.
This was commented on by the Minister of Justice, the Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobro. – Many parliamentarians in the country, as far as I know of all political groups, violated the rules of conducting the election campaign and Mr. Mejza, if this is true, because I do not know it, I do not know this case, would not be an exception here – he stated.
“He has not asked us for permission to place such ads”
The sum is exceptional – we hear in Gorzów. PLN 50,000 fine for wrapping the city for one person. Another one is coming – for posters on the national road. – Mr Łukasz Mejza did not ask us for permission to place such advertisements. He did not pay the fee specified in the act. He will be punished – said Anna Jakubowska from the Zielona Góra branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
– The rates for hanging are ridiculous, I would say. Today, it is one zloty per square meter of advertising per day and it seems that with such rates, a public person should all the more comply with applicable law. Apply to us for permission – emphasized Mayor Marek Cebula.
MP Mejza became famous when the journalists of the Polish Army described his company, which promised to treat people struggling with incurable diseases with a method that has no medical confirmation. – I hope that voters in the Lubuskie Voivodeship will see this and draw conclusions from it – he said Grzegorz Schetyna from the Civic Coalition.
The MP himself will probably be hard not to notice.
