A woman who was detained on Monday by policemen from Gorzów Wielkopolski (Lubuskie Voivodeship) had more than one per mille of alcohol in her exhaled air. She was taking a small child to kindergarten.
The police patrol noticed around 8 o’clock on ul. Londyńska in Gorzów Wielkopolski, a driver who had clear problems with smooth driving. As Commissioner Grzegorz Jaroszewicz from the Gorzów police reported, the woman at some point hit the curb.
– The officers knew that she should be detained for inspection to check her sobriety. Their suspicions turned out to be correct. As soon as the car door opened, the police smelled alcohol. The 35-year-old driver was breathalysed. The woman’s body was over the legal limit, police said.
There was a baby in the car
The 35-year-old was transporting a small child in the car, they were going to kindergarten. – The woman was transported by policemen to the police station, while the child and the car were handed over to relatives – Jaroszewicz said.
The woman’s license was suspended. She faces up to two years in prison for driving while intoxicated.
