In Gostyń, a 19-year-old destroyed two stained glass windows in one of the churches. The act of vandalism took place under the cover of darkness, but in full view of the camera. The police quickly identified who was visible in the surveillance footage. The teenager will not escape punishment.

The police found out who was responsible for breaking two stained glass windows in a church in Gostyń (Greater Poland Voivodeship). It took place on the night from Saturday to Sunday. The recording secured by the police shows two young men walking past the temple walls. At one point, one of the men swings and throws a stone. And so twice. After a while, he leaves with his companion as if nothing had happened.

– The perpetrator broke two stained glass windows, the estimated value of which is approximately PLN 1,000. We received the report on Sunday. The officers reviewed the surveillance footage and immediately recognized the perpetrator of the vandalism. He is a 19-year-old resident of Gostyń. On the same night, the teenager broke the election silence by tearing down the election banner, the deputy commissioner reported. How did he explain himself to the police?

Just a few hours after the report, the teenager was taken into police custody. The 19-year-old was charged with criminal damage to property. The suspect admitted to destroying the stained glass windows. However, he was unable to rationally explain the motives for his actions. – He explained that he was drunk and didn't remember much – said Curyk.

He has already been fined for tearing down an election banner.
