On Saturday, in Gostynin (Masovian Voivodeship), an aggressive, drunk man moved around the city with an axe. He threatened police officers in the park area. After negotiations, he was overpowered. He will be charged.
As Paweł Klimek from the District Police Headquarters in Gostynin told us, on Saturday around 2 p.m. near the park. Józef Piłsudski, after the city’s Independence Day celebrations, a 32-year-old man threatened two policemen. He had an ax with him. – There was no direct attack. After negotiations, they managed to convince him to put down the axe. Then he was overpowered, Klimek explained.
The policeman added that the man was under the influence of alcohol. He has been stopped. – After sobering up, he will be charged with criminal threats using a dangerous weapon – concluded Klimek.
