Buckingham Palace is investigating reports of an incident that occurred after a staff Christmas party. The British media write about a fight, broken dishes and the detention of a 24-year-old woman whose behavior allegedly got “out of control.” The police confirm the intervention.

The tabloid “The Sun” was the first to report the detention of Buckingham Palace employees. According to his findings, she was arrested by the police in connection with a physical attack on the manager of one of the London pubs and destruction of the property. This was supposed to happen on Tuesday evening, when a group of 50 people working for… royal family went for a drink after the official Christmas party at Buckingham Palace.

According to The Sun's informant, when they entered the pub, one of the meeting participants “fell hysterical.” The woman allegedly broke glasses and behaved aggressively towards the employees of the premises. It was necessary to call the police.

Buckingham Palace also commented on the matter on Friday. In a comment sent to the BBC, a spokesman admitted that they were “aware of an incident involving multiple staff members that (…) occurred outside the workplace.” “While this was an informal social gathering and not an official Christmas party at the palace, the facts will be fully investigated and rigorous disciplinary action will be taken against individual staff members and appropriate action will be taken,” he added.
