Daniel Abed Khalife, 21, who is awaiting trial, has escaped from prison in London, London police said. The man faces terrorism-related charges.

21-year-old Daniel Abed Khalifa is a British Army soldier. He was in custody awaiting trial for planting artificial bombs in one of the military bases and on suspicion of violating the law on state secrets.

He disappeared from Wandsworth Prison in the southwest of the British capital shortly before 8 a.m. local time. The Metropolitan Police appealed to the British to inform the services immediately if they see a fugitive.

According to the police, the 21-year-old is most likely still in London. Chief Dominic Murphy said: “I would like to assure you that we have no information or reason to believe that Khalife poses a threat.

– If you see him, do not approach him and call 999 immediately – added the officer.
