According to the BBC, one of the arguments presented by the government's lawyer at the April hearing was that Harry's security issues should be considered individually because he is no longer a working member royal family and lives abroad.
Prince Harry returned to his homeland several times
Harry and his wife Meghan moved to California in June 2020 and officially do not live in Great Britain. Since then, the prince has repeatedly returned to his homeland, among others in December 2023 to an interrogation related to this case. Then he stated that Great Britain He is a place where he wants his children “feel at home”. He argued that this is not possible at the moment, “if it is impossible to ensure their safety” during their visit to the country.
The prince also took part in a funeral service in honor of his relative Robert Fellowes in August 2024. Both he and Meghan participated in the celebration of the platinum jubilee, i.e. the 70th anniversary of his reign Queen Elizabeth II in June 2022, as well as in its funeral in September of the same year.
The prince was also at the coronation of his father Charles III in May 2023, but his wife was not accompanied in this event.
